Work across borders
Some projects reach past one country: a new market, a place affected by conflict or crisis, or partners in several countries. We can look at requests like these, one at a time.
Cross-border work, work in places affected by conflict or crisis, and any import or export depend on U.S. sanctions and export rules and on what is practical. We assess each request on its own.
Three kinds of request
New and emerging markets
For organisations thinking about a market they don’t know yet.
- Market research
- Feasibility studies
- Advice on how to enter the market
Complex and crisis-affected places
For organisations working where conditions are hard or change quickly.
- Assessing needs and conditions
- Coordinating people and work
- Planning procurement
- Planning logistics
- Communications
- Digital tools
Work between countries
For organisations in different countries working on one project.
- Researching local partners
- Coordinating work between the partners
- Support for a project that crosses borders
How we decide
Before we agree to any cross-border work, we check three things: what U.S. sanctions and export rules allow, whether the work is practical, and whether we can deliver it well. If the answer to any of them is no, we tell you.
We don’t list countries here. Each request depends on where, what and with whom, so we answer it on its own.
Tell us where the work is and what it involves.
